Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your private guide meets you in the arrivals hall with a sign bearing your name. Drive 45 minutes to Arusha, Tanzania's safari capital. Rest at your hotel — we use Ele Collection or comparable boutique lodge near the city center. No safari activities today — just acclimatize, hydrate, and prepare for tomorrow.

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire. Known as the 'elephant park,' Tarangire is home to Tanzania's second-largest elephant population and famous for its ancient baobab trees — some over 1,000 years old. In the dry season (July-October), wildlife concentrates dramatically around the Tarangire River. Game drive through the park with your private guide, stopping for a picnic lunch in a scenic spot. Afternoon game drive en route to your camp.

Morning game drive in Tarangire, then begin the journey to the Serengeti. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enter the Serengeti through the Naabi Hill gate and begin your first game drive in the heart of the park. The Serengeti is 15,000km² of unfenced wilderness — your camp is positioned based on the season and migration patterns. Evening game drive on the way to camp.

Full day in the central Serengeti (Seronera region). This is one of the most reliable areas for leopard sightings in Africa — the Seronera River provides permanent water that draws wildlife year-round. Your guide will seek out predators, elephant herds, and the varied landscapes that make the Serengeti extraordinary. Option for a sunrise game drive followed by a leisurely breakfast at camp, then afternoon game drive until sunset.

Drive south toward the Ndutu region, where the wildebeest calve each year between January and March. Even outside calving season, the southern plains offer a different Serengeti experience — vast open landscapes, fewer vehicles, and a sense of remoteness that the central Serengeti lacks. Game drive en route, arriving at your camp by late afternoon. The Ndutu region is also excellent for cheetah — the open grasslands are perfect hunting territory.

Full day exploring the Ndutu region and southern plains. Depending on the season, you may witness the wildebeest beginning their migration north, or see the evidence of recent calving — thousands of newborn calves on the plains. Game drives at dawn and dusk, with time to relax at camp during the heat of midday. The southern Serengeti has very few other vehicles — this is safari as it was decades ago.

Depart after breakfast for Ngorongoro. Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is 264km² of self-contained wildlife ecosystem, home to all Big Five members except giraffe. Lunch at a designated picnic site on the crater floor. Afternoon game drive in the crater before ascending to your lodge on the rim, with sweeping views across the 'African Eden.'

Early morning game drive on the crater floor — this is the best time for predator sightings as wildlife is most active in the cool morning hours. After brunch and checkout, drive to Lake Manyara (approximately 2 hours). Lake Manyara is a compact but varied park — a soda lake fringed by alkaline flats, a groundwater forest, and a dramatic escarpment. Famous for its tree-climbing lions and enormous flamingo flocks. Evening game drive, then overnight near the park.

Morning game drive in Lake Manyara, then transfer to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar (approximately 1.5 hours flying time), or drive to Dar es Salaam for a ferry crossing. Most travelers fly — we arrange the domestic flight and airport transfers at Zanzibar. Arrive at your beach hotel on the north or east coast. The rest of the day is yours to relax, swim, and recover from the safari. Zanzibar's beaches are among the most beautiful in the Indian Ocean.

After breakfast, transfer to Stone Town — Zanzibar's historic heart and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the narrow streets of the old Arab trading town: the House of Wonders, the former Slave Market (now Cathedral), the bustling Darajani Market, and the waterfront. Your guide will share the fascinating history of Zanzibar as a spice island and Swahili culture hub. Return to your beach hotel in the afternoon for relaxation and ocean time.

Full day at leisure on Zanzibar's beautiful beaches. Your hotel offers water sports, dhow boat trips, snorkeling, and diving. We recommend a morning swimming with turtles at Mnemba Atoll or an afternoon spice tour to learn about Zanzibar's clove and cinnamon plantations. Alternatively, simply relax on the powder-white sand and swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Another day to enjoy Zanzibar at your pace. Popular options include: a sunrise fishing village walk, a cooking class to learn Swahili cuisine, kayaking to a sandbank, or a dolphin tour to Kizimkazi. Your guide is available for any additional excursions. This is also a good day to collect souvenirs — Zanzibar is famous for its spices, fabrics, and carved wooden chests.

Morning at leisure — final swim, last-minute shopping, or a relaxed breakfast overlooking the ocean. Check out at mid-morning and transfer to Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) for your international departure.
