Ngorongoro Crater

Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and one of the densest wildlife habitats on Earth. In a single morning, you're likely to see lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos on the lake floor, and the rare black rhino. This is Tanzania in miniature.

Central Serengeti

How many days do I need for a Safari & Zanzibar trip?
A minimum of 9–10 days gives you 5–6 days of safari and 3–4 days on Zanzibar — a comfortable balance. Shorter trips of 7–8 days can work with a focused 3–4 day safari and 2–3 beach days, though you'll feel the pace more. We don't recommend fewer than 7 days total for a meaningful bush-and-beach combination.
Is it safe to combine safari and Zanzibar in one trip?
Yes — and it's one of the most natural pairings in East Africa. Tanzania's Northern Circuit parks (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire) are all within a 4–6 hour drive of Arusha, and the flight from the Serengeti airstrip to Zanzibar takes about 2 hours with a brief connection. What's the best time of year for Safari & Zanzibar?
June to October gives you the dry season for safari (the best wildlife viewing) and calm, sunny weather in Zanzibar. January to March is also excellent — the Serengeti has calving season and Zanzibar has fine weather. We avoid April and May when heavy rains affect both safari roads and Zanzibar beach conditions.
