Two Million Wildebeest. One Private Safari.
The Great Migration is the largest movement of land animals on Earth. Two million wildebeest, half a million zebra, and the predators that follow them circle the Serengeti in an endless loop of birth, death, and renewal. This 10-day safari puts you at the heart of it — from river crossings to calving plains, with a guide who has tracked these herds for decades.

Your Journey
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. Your guide meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and drives you to your lodge in Arusha. Evening briefing over dinner where we outline the migration patterns, what to expect at the crossings, and how we position you for the best sightings.
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive south to Tarangire, a park defined by its ancient baobabs and massive elephant herds. During the dry season, hundreds of elephants converge on the Tarangire River. Full-day game drive with a picnic lunch under a giant baobab tree.
Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
Morning drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera. The crater floor holds 25,000 large animals in just 100 square miles, including endangered black rhinos, lion prides, and flamingo-lined soda lakes.
Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti
Cross the Ngorongoro Highlands and descend into the Serengeti. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of humankind, before reaching the endless Serengeti plains. Afternoon game drive through the Seronera Valley where resident wildlife provides year-round spectacle.
Central Serengeti — Following the Herds
Two full days tracking the migration. Your guide reads the landscape and the season to position you where the herds are moving. Witness columns of wildebeest stretching to the horizon, zebra herds numbering in the tens of thousands, and the predators that shadow them. Dawn and dusk drives when the light and the action peak.
Northern Serengeti — River Crossings
Relocate to the northern Serengeti near the Mara River — ground zero for the most dramatic event in nature. During crossing season (July-October), thousands of wildebeest plunge into crocodile-filled waters. We spend two days at known crossing points with patience and positioning. Even outside crossing season, the northern Serengeti delivers extraordinary predator sightings.
Serengeti — Final Game Drives
One last morning on the Serengeti plains. Sunrise drive through golden grasslands, stopping at kopjes where lions survey their territory. Your guide will find the moments that have eluded you — the cheetah on a termite mound, the secretary bird striding through grass, the quiet scenes that stay with you. Afternoon drive back toward central Serengeti.
Serengeti to Arusha — Departure
Morning bush flight from the Serengeti back to Arusha. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Or extend your journey to Zanzibar for beach and spice island exploration.
