Your Journey
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arusha — Arrival & Preparation
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Your guide meets you and transfers to Arusha. Rest after your journey, meet your guide for a safari briefing, and prepare for tomorrow's departure. Overnight in Arusha.
Lake Manyara National Park — Flamingos, Lions, and Forest
Depart Arusha for Lake Manyara, famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda lake filled with flamingos. Full day game drive through the forest section and around the lake. Birdlife is exceptional — over 400 species recorded. Overnight adjacent to Lake Manyara.
Lake Manyara to Tarangire — Elephant Country
Morning game drive in Lake Manyara, then transfer to Tarangire. Afternoon game drive in Tarangire as the sun angles low — the light is extraordinary, and elephant herds are often encountered on the road. Overnight at a Tarangire lodge.
Tarangire — East Africa's Greatest Elephant Concentration
Full day in Tarangire, Tanzania's most elephant-dense park. The permanent Tarangire River draws large herds, particularly in the dry season. Your guide follows the elephants, finding lions, leopards, and other wildlife along the river and in the baobab-studded landscape.
Tarangire to Central Serengeti — Into the Legend
Morning game drive in Tarangire, then journey to the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro highlands. Enter the Serengeti through Naabi Hill gate and arrive at your central camp by late afternoon. Evening game drive as the sun sets over the plains.
Central Serengeti — Full Day Wildlife Viewing
Full day exploring the central Serengeti. The area around the Seronera Valley is one of the best wildlife viewing zones in Africa — lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles are regularly seen. Your guide adapts the route to where wildlife is most active.
Northern Serengeti — Migration Territory
Morning game drive heading north toward the Mara River. The northern Serengeti is where the Great Migration passes through from July to October. Even outside migration season, this area offers excellent wildlife viewing with fewer vehicles than the central plains.
Northern Serengeti — Second Full Day
A second full day in the northern Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives maximize your time in one of Africa's most remote-feeling wilderness areas. During migration season, you may encounter massive wildebeest herds moving across the plains or crossing the Mara River.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater — World's Greatest Wildlife Basin
Morning game drive in the northern Serengeti, then depart for Ngorongoro. The drive south through the Serengeti is itself a game drive — you never stop wildlife watching. Arrive at Ngorongoro crater rim by late afternoon and settle into your lodge with views over the caldera.
Ngorongoro Crater — Final Day at Dawn
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater at dawn for a full morning game drive. The crater is a complete ecosystem — soda lake, hippo pools, acacia forest, and open plains — hosting one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Look for the rare black rhino. Ascend and return to Arusha by mid-afternoon.

What Guests Say
“Ten days gave us everything Tanzania has to offer. Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lions, two incredible days in Tarangire watching elephants at sunset, and then four full days in the Serengeti where we finally felt like we understood the place. Our guide's knowledge deepened each day.”
Michael and Susan T.

“We almost booked eight days. The extra two days made the trip — one more day at Lake Manyara and a second full day in the northern Serengeti where we watched the migration herds crossing the Mara River. Worth every penny.”

Add Zanzibar Beach Days
After the intensity of ten days on safari, Zanzibar offers the perfect finale. Four to five days on the island's white-sand beaches — Stone Town UNESCO heritage site, spice tours, dhow sunset cruises, and some of the best snorkelling in East Africa. A contrast that makes both experiences more memorable.
